Crossover Big Bang

It's almost time for posting! Posting starts on the 11th, please check out the Posting Schedule to know your assigned posting date.

(note: this coding works best if you make the post in HTML and not Rich Text - if you do not know how to link things in HTML please ask here and I will show you how!)


Don't change around the order or forget any links. Your post will be rejected if its not formatted like this.

- If you want an example of a story master post please look HERE. For art post you can format the way you like just make sure to include a link to the author’s story, like THIS.
- If your story is broken up into separate parts or chapters please make sure each one links to the next. If your story is already done and ready to be posted you can do that now to get a jump on things. Just make sure to lock the posts and unlock them on your posting date.
- Make sure you have the link to your artist's Art Post, so you can include it in your post to the community, and make sure you include a link to your artist's post at your journal or wherever you post the story.
- Artist, make sure in your post you link to the authors fic. We want people to look at the art and read the fic, so share :D
- If you would like to include art in your post to the community it has to be either 400px in width or smaller OR under an lj-cut (to avoid breaking anyone's layout for those watching the community).



If you aren’t sure how to do this (the coding, etc) please contact me through the comms email (crossbigbang@gmail.com) or private message. You can also always just leave a comment to this post (which will lead to a faster response).

Fic final drafts and art rough drafts are due August 1st, 2013 give or take a few hours (or even a day or two, just get it in so I don't panic and send you frantic PMs please :D)

Please follow these instructions to submit your final fic and art drafts. This way I can know where people are and where to put them in the posting schedule (so authors and artists that are done will go towards the beginning, while ones that need some more time will be scheduled towards the end).

IF YOU AREN'T FINISHED DON'T WORRY! That is why I asked for you to tell us if its complete or not, I will try to work those people that need more time later on in the schedule.

The posting period will be from August 11th to August 18th

As fics and art come in they will be put into a posting schedule, the posting schedule will be up by August 4th at the latest - sooner if everyone gets their stuff in (those who need more time either art of fic wise will be put towards the end of the schedule). Posting instructions will be posted after the posting schedule goes up.

At this time artists who have claimed a story are now allowed to claim a second!

To make things easier for artists the remaining stories have been consolidated into one post. Please browse through the information given by the authors and comment with the following to make your claim:

- Claimed stories will be struck out as they come in but make sure to check that someone hasn’t gotten the one you want.

Rough drafts are due June 3rd! (If you are in need of an extension please PM me or leave a comment to this post). Here are the instructions on how to turn in your roug hdraft.

As long as it's the 3rd somewhere your draft will be accepted, so please don't worry about timezones. If you think you'll get it in a day or two late send us an email letting us know to expect your fic.

Ideally your rough draft needs to be more than 15,000 words and completed, however since these are rough drafts at least turn in 10,000 words with more than 80% of the fic done. I've accepted less in the past rounds and will only do so again if the author is ABSOLUTELY sure they will finish the story and they can given the artist enough to work with.

PLEASE KEEP THE CODING IN YOUR EMAIL!, we copy and paste this part into the claims and its really a pain to have to redo all the coding. The only things that will be taken out is the LJ username, percent complete, and current word count.

Pay special attention to the summary because that is what artists will be using to claim a story so make sure to spell-check it and be aware of the length (a sentence or two won't be enough for an artist to make a claim but claims are first come first served and an artist might overlook a huge block of text)

Then add your fic as an attachment, we would prefer it if you had it as an .doc but we can take .docx and .rtf

Welcome to the 2nd checkpoint!

Here is how the checkpoint will work. Same as last years big bang, we are keeping a list of everyone who has signed up and what crossover they are doing (so if you marked undecided or changed yours let us know). We would like to add to the list current Author word counts so that is what we need from you. Comment to the post with the below filled out. Only skip what you aren't sure about yet.
